B. C. Brewing Corporation of St. Louis, Missouri. Notice the smaller sized letter “A B C” on the face panel, and the trademark “Keglined” is printed in red, on the right side panel. The Missouri State permit number “Permit No. Mo. U-918″ and the clever “A B C” slogan, “A Better Canned Beer”, are printed on the left side panel. Note also, the unusual six-step opening instructions on the right side panel, which are unique to this package design. This Grade 1 example is typical of ten or so quality examples known to the author, along with many lesser condition examples existing also. Rarity Rating: R-8/R-5.” REPRINTED WITH PERMISSION FROM KEVIN C. style="text-align: left;">“A B C St. Louis Select Pilsner Type Beer. Circa: Mid – Late 1937. This American Can Company, 12 ounce container, lists Patents Pending and was filled by A. B. C. Brewing Corporation of St. Louis, Missouri. The USBC-OI master work identifies the trademark “Keglined” as having been printed completely in red on the right side panel, when both red and black paint were used in the printing of this trademark. Notice the words “Trade Mark Am. Can Co.” are printed in black within this trademark, which differs from the similar package design introduced on the previous page. This package design, with the unique checkerboard style opening instructions, was re-introduced by the brewer from mid to late 1937 after this specific label had been initially retired by mid 1936. All other information for this package design, as identified in the master work, remains valid. Rarity Rating: R-8/R-5.” REPRINTED WITH PERMISSION FROM KEVIN C.
